• The views. Seriously, this cannot be overstated.
• A private villa onsite with several suites all with en-suite bath so you don’t have to worry about commuting. A true destination wedding venue.

• Excellent inclement weather options are certainly a perk of this vineyard, as Hazy Mountain boasts an incredible reception space that can easily be flipped during cocktail hour.
• Attention to detail. This new venue is determined to make a name for itself in the luxury venue game, and they have all the tools to do it.

Cons of hosting a wedding at Hazy Mountain Vineyard

• The drive is not ideal for guests who are staying in Charlottesville proper. If you book Hazy Mountain, be sure to budget for shuttling your guests to and from Charlottesville for the wedding.
• There are some mobility issues for guests with disabilities. The tasting room (rehearsal site) has a huge staircase that should be taken into account when booking your rehearsal dinner. There is also a small set of stairs at the ceremony site, but this is less of an issue as long as ushers are there to assist.
• This venue is an investment. The Shenandoah Valley has a breadth of prices depending on the area, and the package price can cause some sticker shock. However, the package price includes so much that the price is well justified.
• You have to acquire your own liquor license for the big day. While your food and beverage package covers wine and beer, you do have to outsource for your liquor and bring it with you during set-up on the wedding day.
• Rentals end at 10pm due to sound restrictions, so you will have to continue the party elsewhere if you want to party until morning light.
• The tasting room does not close for weddings, but they do block off the venue space.

Hazy Mountain venue rentals include decor (if desired), coordination, two hours of rehearsal time, and the space. Peak season prices starts at $22,000 for a Friday rental and $27,000 for a Saturday rental. Off season prices knock this down by $4,000. Your food and beverage package is separate, as is booking the villa and the actual rehearsal dinner.
