Out with the blush and beige and in with the vibrant jewel tones! 2022 has seen so many changes in the wedding industry, and I’m here for it. With the world coming to life again after the pandemic, the wedding industry has seen some incredible innovation. We are breaking down five trends that we are living for at Lemon Drop.
1)Break from Tradition
The forced changes of Covid have led to a trend of micro-weddings followed by a massive reception, forgoing traditional ceremonies in favor of elopements, and bold design and color choices.
2)Lavish Parties
Despite the rise of micro-weddings, large parties are back in full swing! In fact multi-day celebrations are in! After having to forgo so many celebrations in the last two years, couples are making up for lost time. Expect statement floral installations and over the top design. Think of the world post WWII, with the indulgent opulence and femininity of the 50s—reveling in the freedom of returning to normalcy. Dazzling spectacle all around.
3)Intimate Affairs
Conversely, intimate events seem to be here to stay. Small weddings and parties are being praised; however, intimate doesn’t have to mean small. When designing your space, you can create nooks and lounge areas in large spaces to make the largest parties feel personal.
4)Destination Weddings
Combine your honeymoon with your wedding and favorite people for a destination wedding extravaganza. Pasta making, wine tasting, dinners make for an incredible guest experience abroad.
5)Colorful Décor
Give me all the color! You may occasionally see blush, white, and beige tones, but saturated hues are making their way in 2022. Berries and deep blues are popular in weddings this Autumn. As the world awakens from a two-year twilight sleep, color is in bloom despite the season. This colorful trend is an outward sign of the joy we are feeling this year.
